when it comes to sound proofing don't try and save a dollar. dynamat should be your only choice. other products smell like roofing tar.
you can buy a cheaper product but you ain't gonna like the smell on a hot day. i have 4 bulk boxes of dynamat in my 40 pontiac. it smells great.

I have a 1972 muscle car that I was replacing the carpet in. I decided to go ahead and install Dynamat to see if what everyone was saying about this product was true. IT IS! I was amazed at how much difference it made. The floor does not get nearly as hot (I live in the South), and the noise level was siginifacantly quieter. Absolutely glad I installed Dyamat. Even if you had to pay full price for it, it would be worth it. Buying it through Amazon for much less is great.

good stuff, really tightened up the sound in my car, would recommend this stuff to anyone. you don't even need to be putting a sub in, just regular road noise or your stock speakers you will be able to tell a big difference.
