| Customer Reviews:
Super July 26, 2010 Vance N. Stone Fit my Amana bottom freezer refrigerator perfectly. Seems to be filtering my water very nicely.
Excellent Filter July 22, 2010 S. J. Northrip (Bedford TX) We use about one of these each year. They keep our ice cubes fresh tasting--no offensive taste, as well as keeping the drinking water nicely filtered. We have discontinued buying bottled water Thanks to the good taste of the water that comes from the refrigerator. This is quite a savings and offsets the cost of changing a filter once each year.
We save a few dollars by buying these from Amazon.
Water Filter works great! July 21, 2010 SHELIA K. FAVOR I looked at these on other web sites and the exact same model was twice as much. Good buy for a good product.
Maytag UKF8001 July 14, 2010 James J. Michel It does an excellent job of filtering my well water which results in my not having to use bottled water.
Direct match July 12, 2010 Edward Podniesinski Works like it should in my Amana refrigerator. Direct replacement, no problem replacing.
Remember to flush out the air by drawing a quart or 2 of water.
Also, I mark the replacement date on the filter with a sharpie marker.
I purchased only one at a time but sometimes you can save $$ with multiple filter packs.
I replace my filter about every 18 months. I have city water which overall is exceptional but I do have older soldered copper pipes in my house so this filter adds some insurance to lead and anything else in the lines.
Sometimes the water does smell of chlorine (at my faucet) in the summer but this filter knocks it out.
